Wella Koleston Perfect is a permanent cream colour for rich colour and shine. It suits both root touch-ups and full-head colouring from roots to ends; the appropriate colour and developer combination provides up to 100% grey coverage.
Mix the main range's shades with Welloxon Perfect at a 1:1 ratio. Select developer strength for darkening, same-depth colouring or lightening rather than using one concentration for every service.
What needs does this product address?
- Covering grey hair with permanent colour.
- Refreshing regrowth and matching it to the rest of the hair.
- Lasting changes to colour depth or tone with the selected shade.
How the formula works
The oxidative cream colour is designed for use with Welloxon Perfect. The main range's mixing ratio is 1:1. Use 6% developer for grey coverage; with the specified colour application method, 9% provides up to two levels of lift and 12% up to three. These methods differ from the Special Blondes 1:2 formula.
How to use
- For standard colouring, mix one part colour with one part suitable Welloxon Perfect developer (1:1).
- Apply the freshly prepared mixture immediately, touching up regrowth or colouring from roots to ends according to the chosen technique. Standard development time without added heat is 30–40 minutes.
- After development, add a little warm water, emulsify and rinse thoroughly. Shampoo with a product suitable for coloured hair and use the designated after-colour treatment.
For professional use. Before the service, follow the application and safety instructions on the packaging.

About the product
For grey root coverage, choose both the desired tone and a suitable natural shade and developer. Koleston Perfect's natural, brown and vibrant tonal families allow the formula to be tailored to the starting colour. The proportion of grey hair affects the shade mixing ratios.
For standard colouring, mix colour and Welloxon Perfect in equal parts. Use 4% developer for same-depth colouring or darkening when grey coverage is not required; select 6%, 9% or 12% for coverage or a defined level of lift. Standard development without heat is 30–40 minutes.
Refreshing previously coloured hair does not automatically require the same colour and developer as the roots. Welloxon Perfect Pastel 1.9% is used in designated colour-refreshing services, while Color Touch allows a separate toning service. After colouring, emulsify and rinse, then use an after-treatment for coloured hair.
Who is this product for?
For permanent root touch-ups or colouring from roots to ends, including grey coverage. Potential lift depends on the starting colour, chosen shade and developer strength.

Shampoos and conditioners for regular care
Suitable shampoos form the foundation of a routine. Consider scalp needs alongside hair texture, dryness and colouring. After washing, appropriate hair conditioners complement care and help tailor the routine to the needs of the lengths.
ULTIMATE REPAIR, ULTIMATE SMOOTH and ULTIMATE COLOR
ULTIMATE REPAIR is developed for damaged hair. ULTIMATE SMOOTH focuses on smoothing and nourishment, while ULTIMATE COLOR is designed for colour-treated hair. Choose a range by identifying your main concern, whether that is damage, frizz or colour maintenance.
For more intensive care, add suitable hair masks. Leave-in treatments, serums and oils offer further options. Follow each product's instructions for application order and quantity.
Professional hair colour and EIMI styling
The choice of a professional colour system depends on the intended shade, the starting condition of the hair and the colouring technique. EIMI includes mousses, hairsprays, gels and texturising products, with options for volume, hold, smoothness and definition.
