SHR is short for Super Hair Removal . SHR technology continues to use the selective photothermolysis route for permanent hair removal. Instead of the conventional IPL, the Xenia SHR-emotion does not access the hair root, but primarily acts directly on the protein of the stem cells, which are placed in the follicle around the root sheath and play a crucial role in the production of new hair. During the treatment, the skin surface is heated to 38°C-40°C. The underlying tissue is brought to the depth of the stem cells slowly but continuously over a longer period of time using low energy to a moderate temperature of approx. 45°C. The protein denatures at this temperature, during which the epidermis is always protected with the help of skin surface cooling. A follicle that has been successfully treated in this way is no longer able to produce new hair. Several individual treatments are required to achieve the desired result.
