Tone on Tone Additive allows 4D Color Experts permanent colours to be used for tone-on-tone colouring. Add it to the colour and developer mixture, calculating the quantity from the volume of colour cream used. It is designed for use with a low-strength developer and a twenty-minute processing time.
Sunflower seed oil helps leave hair soft and shiny while protecting it during colouring. Linseed oil is included to strengthen the hair fibre, while hydrolysed quinoa protein helps retain moisture and improve elasticity. The conditioning ingredients therefore form part of the toning mixture.
The additive allows the 4D system to be used for toning without switching to a separate colour range. Add fifteen millilitres of additive to thirty millilitres of colour cream, also using the specified quantity of developer. After colouring, K89 acidic-pH shampoo and a post-treatment mask can be used to complete cleansing and care.
